I love going home to visit. I stayed two weeks and wanted to stay two more, but the girls really missed their Papa and I missed my Scott. We wish he could've come. He was in Alaska doing his own family trip. We had such a good time. Thanks mom and dad. A good time was had by all. We miss you and we love you.
BOTANICAL GARDENS AND AQUARIUM
One of the days we went to the gardens and the aquarium. The gardens is a really cute place, it's like your a little bug in a garden and everything is giant size. The girls really enjoyed it. Kasey said that was one of her favorite places to go. We also went to the aquarium and saw the divers dive into the tank and feed the stingrays and the turtles and other fish. There were also sharks in the tank. We also went to a restaurant at the aquarium where the whole back wall is just looking into the huge fish tank. The girls love that. Oh and in the gardens they had a place where they had just tons of butterflies flying around. Quincy was so cute, she would clap her hands and say c'mere butterfly. They also had a glass case showing butterflies coming out of their chrysalis. Kasey was really fascinated by that.

SUNDAY
Me and my cute girls in the backyard before church.

BIG HELPER
Kasey was always wanting to "help" when she could. She is taking after her mom in the pictures of mowing the lawn. For some reason I was the one that always mowed the lawn at my house growing up, even though I had an older brother and sister. I think I remember getting paid for it tho. It really wasn't so bad

BIKING
My dad is big into biking. He got this little bike on the back for the grandkids and Kasey loved it. When my dad would get home from work Kasey would want to go on a bike ride. One time she told my dad that she was doing a lot of talking back here by herself, that's Kasey for ya, either talking or singing or making some kind of noise. My dad and Kasey would go on their bikes and I would take Quincy in the trailer that my dad built. I remember riding in it when I was little, it's been around for a while. They all had to have helmets. It was so much fun. I can't wait till we get our trailer for our bikes.

SLEEPY HEADS
They did get tired here and there, but mostly it was go go go. Kasey fell asleep outside under the umbrella after a big day of playing out in the backyard and Quincy fell asleep just on the kitchen floor. You can't see but Duke was kinda right by her sleeping too.

ZOO
We went to the zoo and yes we are all wearing pink and brown, pretty cute, and it made it easy to find each other. We did all sorts of stuff at the zoo. We fed the giraffes, rode a camel, rode the train, had a picnic, fed the fish, watched the polar bears eat and the sea lions. It was a long day, but we had a good time.
Even the gorilla posed for us

happy to be at the zoo

FITNESS CLASS
My mom has a memebership to a gym and I signed up for a two week pass and we would go workout in the mornings together, which was fun and we took some interesting classes to say the least, right mom?! One Saturday they had a childrens class that we took the girls to. They loved it. Kasey was so cute. She really looks after her little sister. If they needed to get balls out Kasey would make sure first that Quincy had one and it was just the right size for her. She is a great big sister.

RASPBERRIES
We all loved picking the raspberries out back. Quincy really enjoyed it. If we couldn't find her in the house we knew she was outside picking away. She would get right in there too, no messing around with Quincy. She was a serious raspberry picker. She would just dive right in. Kasey would pick some and was sure to share with me and Quincy, she is so sweet. I love having the raspberries in the backyard.

BACKYARD FUN
I love being able to have a backyard, I can't wait till mine is done. The kids loved just playing out back. We got the pool out and the slide and the sprinkler. We would also sit back there and watch the lightning in the evening. It was the best weather. It would cool down every evening and we would watch the lightning. We had snow cones out back and they had a little picnic one afternoon. Oh those two are too cute.

Kasey would wear her sunglasses upside down all the time, she said they felt better that way

ICE SKATING
We went ice skating two nights when we were there. We took Quincy the first night and she didn't like it so much, so we found a babysitter for her the second night, but they had the littlest ice skates for her, I couldn't believe it they were so cute and tiny.
Kasey had a blast ice skating. She did really well too. Trevor helped her a lot. He is the only one of us that really knows how to skate. He would skate backwards and hold onto Kasey's bar of her walker and help get her going. She did a lot on her own too. My mom and dad even got out there. I love the picture of them holding hands and skating. They are so cute. They had their anniversary while we were there. I hope I am that happy in my marraige after 37 years. They are the most selfless, loving people I know. Thanks for your example mom and dad.
Kasey just wanted to go fast all the time, no big surprise, and she would get frusterated when she couldn't go very fast by herself, so Trevor would come over and take a lap around with her and get her cruising. We had a blast.

MOM N' ME
I had a just me and my mom day. It was so great. I got a babysitter for the kids and my mom and I went out shopping and to lunch at a yummy restaurant called the Elephant Bar. We found these sweet hats out shopping, sorry mom i see what you were saying about how my hat is just taking over, I tell ya it has a mind of its own. and yours is just sparkling away in the sunlight. :)
Thanks mom I had a good time.
RAILRUNNER
We went on a train called the railrunner. We rode it about an hour one way and stopped in Belen for a few minutes and then rode it back. The girls really enjoyed it and on the way back we played a few games and we were all just laughing. It was great.

Oh my cute parents, we love you
PLAYGROUND
We rode our bikes up to the playground to let the kids play. My dad had Kasey on the back of his bike, she was just pedaling away so she could beat me and Quincy there I'm sure. I had Quincy in a trailer behind me. Here's Kasey helping my dad pedal up the hill and then on the other hand here's Quincy, she had put her hand through the bottom of the trailer and was dragging it on the street, not really helping. Luckily I wasn't going fast enough so that her little hand didn't get torn up, it mostly just turned black and got really dirty.
We had a fun time playing at the park. Quincy zipped down the slide, Kasey hung upside down and wrote her name in the sand and they both loved swinging.

FRONT PORCH SWING
Oh I love going home, there are so many good memories. This swing has been out on our front porch for as long as I can remember. There are lots of pictures when I was little sitting on that swing. I remember sitting here and watching and waiting for my dad's car or watching for him on his bike to come home from work. I remember playing colored eggs. I remember sitting there and watching storms come in and running out and jumping and playing in the puddles in the street. I remember one time sitting and waiting for my grandparents to visit and being so excited when they got here that we tipped it over backwards and bonked our heads. I remember sitting out on the swing and just talking with my friends. I'm sure there are so many more memories. I know that I loved having that front porch swing there. I love being able to sit there with my girls now and talk and play games with them there too. I hope they will remember that and have many more good memories to come on the front porch swing.

PAGA'S MOTORCYCLE
We all went for a ride on Paga's motorcycle. Quincy was insistent on wearing a helmet. Kasey kept talking and still does about how Paga's motorcycle can go faster than a car and she says it with so much excitement every time. I love it. Of course she kept wanting to go faster and faster, that little daredevil, wonder where she gets that from.
